What Is “My Media?”
But when I started looking at all of this as "My Media" I started taking real ownership of these unbelievably valuable slices of my life. I started organizing it all and protecting it all. I discovered software solutions that made it easy to enjoy my photos and videos when I wanted and where I wanted.
To me, my media means everything involved from the first digitized photo to the full media experience enjoyed on all my devices.
Where do I get the media? How much does it cost? How do I distribute it to all my devices? What are my devices? How do I organize it and then keep it organized? How do I protect it? And finally, how do I use it?
Here are some key elements.
- $$$$ Cable TV
- $$$ Internet
- $$$ Satellite
- $$$ Telephone
- $$ Streaming
- Coaxial Cable
- Home Network WiFi
- PC-Tablet-Phone
- Dumb/Smart TV
- Organized
- Protected
- Managed
- Experience it and enjoy it
Being organized isn't about getting rid of everything you own or trying to become a different person: it's about living the way you want to live, but better.  - Andrew Mellen
I won't kid you, there are a lot of parts and pieces to anyone's media, and it can be a very confusing ordeal getting it all in order.
- Get smart by choosing the media you want and stop paying for the stuff you never use.
- Get rid of the confusion, the clutter, the duplicates, and start protecting your memories.
- Listen to your music, when and where you want it, relaxing, walking of just zoning out.
Your real media is what is left after you clear out all the junk and organize what's left. That result is when media becomes "Your Media."
